2007 South Australia Disc Golf Open

SADGO07

On the weekend of 12th-13th May come out and have fun playing in the SA Disc Golf Open.  The competition will be held over the two days, with prizes are up for grabs on both days. This event is part of the newly formed Australian Disc Golf National Tour. The ADGTour is a series of 7 events all over Australia culminating in the National Championships in Sydney in October 2007.

The disc golf course is located in the parklands of picturesque North Adelaide, a few minutes north of Adelaide’s city centre. North Adelaide, home to one of Adelaide’s most loved ‘eat streets’, boasts everything from coffee shops and fast food to cafes, pubs and five-star dining. The blend of the open parklands, historic buildings and bustling atmosphere of O’Connell Street is an ideal location for the SADGO.

There will be three rounds of 18 holes (9 baskets played from two tees each) played over the weekend. Note that rounds not played will receive a score of 999 and as such players who choose not to play all rounds will be grouped together in terms of tour points allocation.

Don’t worry if you are new to the sport or worried about better players.  Everyone will be placed in suitable skill divisions so you will be competing against people of your own skill level and gender:

    Junior – 16 and under
Recreational – less than one year playing
Advanced – more than one year playing
    Open – PDGA Rating 915+
    Masters – 40 and over

Everyone is welcome to play and lots of prizes will be given away along with Closest the Pin and longest drive prizes.  Don’t miss out on these!

All the latest golf discs will also be available for purchase at the event.  Come out and try what’s new, direct for the USA.
