On Saturday 29th April 2006 a piece of Australian disc golf history was made.
ADG had its inaugural Annual General Meeting at Macquarie University, NSW.
One of the most exciting things to come out of the meeting was the announcement of the first elected ‘Board of Directors’.
Here is the new Board:
National Director – Richard Sampson
Secretary – Tim Marchbank
Director of Competitions – Paul Arden
Director of Development – Albert Munoz
Treasurer – Harvey Harnall
These five people will be working together with the intention of building a national body for disc golf who’s actions will benefit the game and the players.

The ADG constitution is being finalised and will be available to the public shortly. Also, you can download the Minutes from the AGM via the following link (PDF Format):
ADG is a sub-committee of the Australian Flying Disc Association (AFDA).
A significant amount of research and discussion went into the official formation of ADG over a 10 month period. Australia needed a united national disc golf organisation and there were a couple of organisational models to choose from. A five person steering committee was elected to research the options and advise on the best model. Their findings indicated that a disc golf national organisation would work best as a sub-committee of the Australian Flying Disc Association. The AFDA is a mature disc sports organisation with over 3000 members. ADG is guided and managed by persons with a passion for developing disc golf in Australia.
ADG Membership
The ADG would like everyone who loves disc golf in Australia to support the work of ADG by becoming a member. The Board are currently working on a membership package and as soon as it is available will be releasing the information.
