It was a pretty hot day this time around as we experimented with some new antics between rounds. Kurt suggested we have four (yes.. four) off the cusp CTP from random spots all over the course. Everyone had one shot from each position and the closest person got a prize. We gave away three discs and a tee shirt, but that’s not the most exciting part…
As we are getting ready to start, our regular Thai cook Uai asked if she could go first, nobody protested and she then proceeded to ace the first CTP hole from 80 metres away, downhill and through a gap between two trees. It was on its way in the whole time and everyone (except for Rod) saw it, once the cheering subsided some of us decided to not even bother trying to get closer and we moved on to the next one… Well done Uai!!!! Other notable events were two near aces by Luke and Peter on 16, both of them hit the basket and I can feel more aces on the way… Don’t forget, this Saturday is the Canberra Par3 event, two rounds and tons of prizes. Canberra’s Eddison park, sadly its Sydney’s closest permanent course (for now!), has been slightly redesigned to make 18 short holes that will likely have quite a few of us itching to go for aces any chance we get.
That’s about it for now, if you cant make it to Canberra, the next Madd Macq’s will be held on the 17th of December, see you all then.
Thanks
Albert
