Some sage advise from Kurt on selecting your discs and using them
If you’ve experienced many of your throws fading off to the left, you’ve either used a too heavy disc or a too stable disc – or both. Therefore I recommend understable discs around 150 grams in weight to all of you with that frustrating experience.
In general, new players want to use what the pros use and especially
the model that they throw the furthest. It’s not always a very good
idea – the difference in technique and speed is too big (but don’t
despair, you’ll get there)! You will gradually move to more stable and
heavier discs as you improve your technique. Same model, different
weight: the heavier the disc is, the more stable it is.
Stick to a few models and have a few back-ups in case you lose some.
The quality of the discs is so good nowadays that they rarely break.
Don’t putt with drivers, use a separate putter – both for better result
and for longer life for the driver.
