ADGTour Standings Update – June

The ADGTour is now in its fifth month and going strong. So far this year over 100 competitors have played in ADGTour events across Australia. B/C-Tier Events have started to pop up in Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane and more are on the way. If you are interested in holding an ADGTour event, please contact competitions@australiandiscgolf.com for more details, including our new, point by point TD guide for those who have not run events before or are a little unsure as to what is involved. Sydney Disc Golf Open

Sydney put on its finest winter weather with a beautiful day of approximately 20 degrees for the inaugural Sydney Disc Golf Open. 22 competitors were ready to test their skills against a tight and technical course layout which boasted a miserly PAR of 55. Although the Sydney Disc Golf Club team were disappointed that the permanent baskets were not in the ground, the M14 portables stood up to the battering of our birdie-hungry disc golfers.  This ADG A-Tier National Tour Event saw some very close competition, with 3 out of 4 divisions being decided by 1 stroke!

MADD MACQ’S 023

The start of June may have officially signaled the beginning of winter, but you might have not known it with the beautiful morning the 13 competitors faced for MADD MACQ’S 023. Blue skies and only a light breeze meant there was to be some great action on the Championship layout at Macquarie University. This was the first time that a MADD MACQ’S event was to be a B-Tier National Tour Event. This was also to be a lead-up event to the Sydney Disc Golf Open.
