Spring had sprung with blossoms & wattles everywhere but recent snow in the mountains & strong winds, 30 to 50 kph made for a chilly welcome to BSF 06. Thankfully the forecast rain missed the Woden area with only a few drops blown in during the day. The old layout was played for both rounds & no records were set. The most notable highlight of the day was a near ace by Christian on the 1st hole in the second round when his drive hit basket.
The most important thing with a MADD MACQ’S is the date for the next one, something we usually decide on the spot or shortly afterwards after consultation with the Ultimate schedule. It’s not always it becomes common knowledge, though…

Macq Uni had its second taste of doubles disc golf for the 12th installment of Madd Macq’s Disc Golf. This time I managed to actually schedule an event around any major ultimate events so we had a much better turnout. We had an absolute stellar day with light winds, sunny skies and a comfy 18 degree temperature. Anyway, the first round was played as regular singles on our new championship layout which has proven to be significantly more challenging than our classic layout, and the scores are below.
