qld tinana Queensland's first course on the Fraser Coast, this is a beginner friendly, 9 hole course that winds its way through the Tinana Recreation Reserve. Park near the toilet block/BBQ area on Woongool Road (across from the Paisley Park Early Learning Centre), there is a footpath to your left that crosses the creek. A short walk takes you to the 1st tee, a beautiful little Par 3 that screams "Ace me"! The footpath is well used by other park users (Walkers, Dog walkers, Cyclists, etc.) so as always, be aware of your surroundings and be considerate of other park users! This is a multi-use space, and priority should be given to other park users over disc golfers. Most of the holes play away from the footpath, but there are a few (Holes 1,5 & 8) where the footpath can come into play. Due to the constraints of the park, namely the narrowness, the footpath, and the fact that there are only 2 bridges crossing the creek, there are a few holes with longer than ideal walks (3>4, 5>6, 8>9). Enjoy the stroll and maybe take some time to consider your next birdie, or that missed putt from the previous hole! Hole lengths vary from 55m to 135m, with eight Par 3s and one Par 4, for a Par 28 total. There is plenty of scope to play some safari tees that will lengthen the course for players wanting more of a challenge and want to air out their drivers a bit. Otherwise, the standard layout can be played quite easily with a putter/midrange/fairway driver combo, and every hole is birdie-able! A good mixture of lengths, uphill/downhill shots, and righty/lefty lines make this a great little course to hone your skills.Meridan Downs

act Weston Park now has a permanent course! Leading up to The Choices Flooring 2018 Australian Disc Golf Championships Presented By Nature 2 Nourish, many of the poles were permanently installed and there is now a permanent 21 basket layout to be played! All tees are denoted by orange plastic markers that are in the ground for every hole on the course. Holes 4 through 24 have full baskets installed and it is recommended to just play these. Holes 2 and 3 have poles only. Holes 1, 25, 26, and 27 do not have the basket locations marked. If you’ve played the tournament course before, you’ll note that Hole 12 has been shortened into a Par 4 for the public layout which plays great and makes the transition better to 13. Note that the Weston Park course is a tournament level layout which requires long throws on most holes. If you’re new to the sport, we would HIGHLY recommend first playing our beginner friendly John Knight Memorial course followed by Eddison Park which is more moderate. If you start right at Weston, you might not have very much fun. The Weston Park course can be hard to navigate for first time players as there are only two simple orange round tee markers denoting the front left and front right corner of the tee. While the below map might get you around, we highly recommend players new to the course use the google maps link below on your smart phone, turn on your gps, and you’ll be able to navigate pretty close to each tee location. We are working on trying to self-fund tee signs which would make the course much more friendly to play. The Weston baskets were actually partially funded by the club and we’re doing our best as a small club with a limited budget. It is fully signed with a main sign board, practice basket, tee signs, concrete pads, and next tee signs for a couple of holes. The course is beginner friendly with the front 9 ranging between 45 and 65m for the Par 3's with the back 9 playing longer and more difficult. The course is mostly wooded set amongst native gum trees with a couple of holes shooting over mowed parkland. Despite the short holes, there are numerous trees on some holes which make it more difficult if you don't hit your intended line. Many of the holes are also contained by a path network that plays as out of bounds for each hole. Thus, running long on many of the holes will be OB and cost you a stroke; this adds to the challenge of the course but can be ignored for casual play and beginners. However, for more seasoned players, it is a great course for working on your short game and making sure you are accurate or else you can be punished.
The course is open anytime and is free to play. Park in the main parking lot off Townsend Place and it is a short walk down the first path entry to the first tee. Gate closes after dark.
