Man what a weekend of disc golf the weather couldn’t have been better and the competition was hot in all divisions. I would like to thank all those who helped with the Perth Open this year couldn’t have done it without you guys. I would also like to thank SWEET VIOLETS FLORIST for sponsoring our event they helped us pay for the booking of the parks and etc…

This year we also gave out the "Player’s Player" award and this went out to Paul Arden One it was for making the trip over to play in our event and also for the help and knowledge he dished out to people on the two days of competition.

 
A few of the high lights of the weekend would include Stuart and Laurie
going head to head in a tie-breaker for the Mens recreational division,
everyone sat back as we watched these to play 4 holes to see who would
take the prize. Also there was Emil and his consistent disc golf scores
that made him a very hard man to catch after the first day of events
being a total of 6 strokes to make up for David Bandy.  There was also
a struggle on the last hole between the two brothers David Bandy and
Corey Bandy to see who would take out the second place, With dave
coming to the last hole tied with his brother a few comments were
thrown around like "I didn’t play 72 holes of golf to tie with someone
at the end" it was on, Corey let rip a nice drive to land 30 feet
infront of the basket then Dave let rip and smashed a tree right
infront of the tee, on Daves second shot he threw a skip shot under and
around some trees to land about 20 -25 feet from the basket, Corey had
his shot and ended up triple putting it where Dave nailed his 20
footer. Also well done to Paul Arden when i was playing in the last few
rounds with him i must have seen at least 4-5 good ACE runs at the
basket.
