On Saturday, May 10th women from all around the world will compete in the Women’s Global Disc Golf event (http://www.pdga.com/women/global-event). With almost 1000 women registered this year’s event will be the biggest yet. Australia is hosting 2 tournaments for the event, one in NSW and one in Perth and we are inviting all women (and men) keen to have a throw to join us.
Participants will play 2 rounds of disc golf with the scores submitted to the PDGA. The scores will be used to determine each player’s “Global Score”. The Global Scores will be updated throughout the day to determine the Women’s Global Event Champions and the winner in each division will receive a memorable trophy. As the first country to hold events we Aussies can watch how our scores are progressing throughout the day.
Thanks to the generous support from the AFDA we are able to offer any women registering by the 9th May for the NSW (http://nswdiscgolf.com/nsw-open/) or Perth events (http://www.perthdiscgolf.com/) a discounted rate of $10 entry. We will have discs available for loan on the day.
Men are also welcome at both events (In fact we need you to help get accurate scores!). The NSW event is part of the NSW Open which will run Friday to Sat.
